Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings selected her as the fifth selection of this year's WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale's parents Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2nd 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26 year old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. Ogunbowale's exceptional abilities led to her school capturing stunning victories numerous times. Through her time at high school, she has 73 career begins and 1 477 points total. She also lists 739 rebound. Ogunbowale played in the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships which she took home gold medals. In July 2014 she was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first collegiate season. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for hitting multiple big shots during the NCCA Tournament. While still relatively new she has established herself as an exceptional basketball player, and she is bound to keep her track.
